Maternal & Child Health

Maternal and child health (MCH) focuses on the health of mothers, infants, and children. Keeping track of key metrics is important to improve outcomes. The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) created dashboards using Virginia MCH data from:

  • Birth and death certificates
  • Inpatient hospitalizations
  • Pregnancy-Associated Mortality Surveillance System, and
  • Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS)

Use the navigation below to view available dashboards. These data can be used to help improve maternal and child health programs or policies.
